Free templates: the three records every contract needs
What you pay, what you get, what fails. Working files a community fills in itself and keeps.
A connectivity contract is easier to hold to when three records exist: what every site pays and for what, what each building actually needs from the service, and every outage with its duration. Those records are the basis of a renewal negotiation, a service-credit claim, a report to council and, when a program opens, a funding application. These templates produce them. They are free, in English and French, and yours to keep; tribal councils and technical-services organizations may distribute them to their member communities.

01Site and service inventory
Excel. One row per paid connection: provider, service, cost, contract term and renewal date. Totals what the community spends on connectivity and flags every contract ending within twelve months.
02Facility needs assessment
Excel. What each building actually needs from the service, the gap between need and what the contract delivers, and a priority for every site. Includes a sizing guide by facility type.
03Reliability and outage log
Excel. Every outage or slowdown, with its duration and the availability of every site over any period you set. The record behind a service-credit claim, a complaint or a renewal.
