Connectivity & Telecommunications Practice

Fibre, fixed-wireless, land-mobile radio and satellite transport, designed and integrated as one network the community can run.

The connectivity landscape for remote and northern communities has changed: low-orbit satellite makes once-impossible links viable, but resilient infrastructure rarely relies on a single bearer. We design the architecture that combines them, specify and procure it, and integrate the links, the radio network and the sites into one system, from the propagation study and link budget to the acceptance tests that hold a provider to what it promised.

What we build

Fibre and fixed-wireless links, repeater sites and community networks, from specification and tender through build supervision and acceptance testing. We hold no agreement with any provider or manufacturer; the specification and the acceptance tests are written for the owner of the system.

Satellite and data sovereignty

Routing community traffic over satellite infrastructure crosses networks, ground stations, and legal jurisdictions outside local control. Choosing between a foreign commercial constellation and a Canadian, sovereignty-focused network is fundamentally a governance decision. It dictates data residency, jurisdictional authority, and who retains access to community traffic. Our connectivity studies put these regulatory realities on the table, while our data governance practice provides the frameworks to secure them.
